Is-Mold-in-the-House-a-Health-Problem.jpg

Mold is a common term that conjures up all kinds of horrible ideas in our heads. Mold develops from naturally occurring fungal spores. Those spores are literally everywhere, and avoiding them completely is not possible. They float in the air you breathe every minute of every day. There’s no reason to panic, though, as those spores are generally harmless unless you have an allergy for them. It’s when the spores find a moist, warm area that they become trouble. Is mold in the house a health problem? You bet it is.

Mold will begin to form when warmth, moisture, and decaying matter work together. The decaying matter can be anything. Provided there are nutrients for the mold to feed on, it will grow and spread. Rotting food is quick to get mold because it’s nutrient dense and often loaded with sugars. Mold will feed on anything, though, and it’s not limited to organic matter. That’s why it’s important to get rid of carpeting or drywall that suffered water damage. Areas like that are hot beds for mold growth.

There are many kinds of mold in the world. Stachybotrys Chartarum, better known as black mold, is the kind homeowners fear the most. Toxic black mold in a house can lead to many health problems, and it’s not easy to get rid of. Understanding and recognizing the warning signs and symptoms of illnesses caused by black mold is the first step to fight it.

Black mold releases spores into the air that will lead to many health problems if breathed in all the time. The symptoms can run from unpleasant to dangerous. Respiratory problems are the most common symptoms associated with black mold. They include sneezing, eye irritation, coughing, rashes, and irritation of the nose and throat. The symptoms will increase in severity and can lead to chronic fatigue and headaches. In extreme cases of prolonged exposure, people can expect nausea, vomiting, nose bleeds, and internal bleeding of the lungs. These symptoms will not manifest after brief exposure to mold, but prolonged exposure can lead to illness, especially if the person has an allergy to mold.

Have you seen it?! (Find that video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCdMpjDxIQE) The core message of this commercial is all about Mike’s experience when his basement flooded. When he called one of those nationally known chains, they removed the damage, but then he was left with the headache of finding a contractor for painting AND drywall. NOT HERE! At Aloha Restoration, Co, we are aa full-service group of contractors. When people reach out to our competition, they don’t realize they aren’t going to get their property back to pre-disaster condition. This month, we’ve launched the first of a series of television commercials featuring our President and CEO David A. Farbaky! As of last week, the commercial series will air on major networks such as ESPN, the History Channel, TLC, LMN, Discovery Channel, and more!

You can find the commercial on our Youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JnzXXLNoAg

Without revealing too much about the future commercials, the core message is centered around Aloha Restoration, Co. being a full-service group of contractors. When people reach out to our competition, they don’t realize they aren’t going to get their property back to pre-disaster condition. If you call for help with mold removalwater mitigation, or fire restoration; that is all you will get. If they gut drywall, they won’t put the wall back up or even paint it. You’ll have to find other contractors for that; whereas, we do it all!

To learn more about the series and for more behind-the-scenes info about the commercial shoot, find the full press release here: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2018/03/prweb15326284.htm
